Alysha (sounds like Alicia) is an active illustrator, graphic designer, and photographer based in Atlanta, GA. She has a well-rounded appreciation for the arts and explores the multitude of visual mediums to express herself and channel her passions.
After her time as a senior editor for the literature & art magazine during her time in high school, Alysha remained engaged in print and illustration media at her years at Savannah College of Art & Design, but her interest in the arts and all things nerdy and cool go back as far as she can remember:
“…I know it came from my dad. He introduced me to things like X-Files, Star Wars, Star Trek, Sea Quest, Doom, etc. My dad was the dad that would bring out his old train set for the Xmas village and we would paint new table top figurines…”
That influence, her involvement in illustration and print production are what she credits as the beginning of her pursuit. She achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the study of Sequential Art and Illustration with a minor in Art History, a cornerstone of her ability to traverse between traditional mediums and digital formats.
Following her graduation from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), she devoted her time into a small startup company called Pic Pic Prints. Sadly the company did not out live the Pandemic but what Alysha learned did not go unseen.
Alysha continues her work now in several ways, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as both acrylic and watercolor painting in her free time. Her portfolio includes graphic design with Stingy Genius Inc., as well as photography with Angle 3 Films. She has also been active in doing creative projects with charities such as St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. Never forgetting her foundation, a distilled love of art, she has kept her skills sharp and ready between larger projects by taking on freelance commissions and assisting others’ education in the arts - much to the inspiration passed down from her art mentor: Harriett Richardson.
As of recent, she currently works as a print production designer at Print & Signs.
